Gospel music sensation Abicky Kgolane is expected to host an elite music event that marks more growth in his career.
The Worship Xplosion Gospel Festival is scheduled to be held at the Sekhukhune TVET College in Motetema on 21 March.
The “Mphe Matla” hit maker from Groblersdal town in the Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality in Sekhukhune District’s rise to stardom surprised many as he’s had a career in journalism and took a leap of faith when he transitioned to music where he made a name for himself initially as an upcoming artist and is now a multi-award winning gospel singer not just loved by fans but respected by industry peers as well.
Abicky shocked many when he released his debut album in 2021 shifting his followers focus from his journalism writings to his gospel genre.
Kgolane’s music journey is gaining national recognition. Known for his debut album, Mphe Matla and singles, “Ha o le teng, Tsamaya le rona, Bitsa Jesu as well as Rato la Jeso” are getting a lot of airplay on radio and television gospel platforms growing his impact in Limpopo and beyond.
His passion for worship and praise saw him winning gospel awards, namely MIA Gospel Music Awards 2023 and Creative Music Awards 2025 under the catogory Best Gospel Male Artist fo the year.

This much-anticipated event is set to ignite spiritual and uplifting souls and he will be gathering the powerhouse gospel stars under one roof.
