The latest news that Amerikaners ( white Afrikaners who migrated to USA citing persecution ) are returning to South Africa in droves once again teaches us a lesson in patriotism.
On the eve of the 1994 democratic breakthrough, some whites, obviously racist, packed up and left the country and everywhere they went, they falsely claimed to be running away from the ANC which they alleged was going to massacre all white people. Some went as far as thumsucking stories that white children where being eaten by black people as part of state sanctioned violence.
After the historic elections of 1994 the ANC eventually took over the country and as expected, sought to transform society, in particular to empower the black majority that had been oppressed for years. The success of the ANC’s transformation agenda remains subject of debate and not necessarily relevant in this piece.
From the onset the ANC adapted a reconciliator approach. Even when it had two thirds majority, the liberation movement still consulted the former oppressors to negotiate transformation and unsurprisingly white South Africa played victim and actively resisted change reducing the democratically elected government to colonial klerks of sorts. There can never be a debate on whether the ANC had been reconciliatory or not because in our humble view the congress movement has been more than reasonable, most of the time at the expense of its own members and broader society. There was never a reason for any white South African, Afrikaner or not who can honestly claim to have been targeted. Yes, there is crime in South Africa and everyone, black or white, rich and poor, may fall victim to crime but some how a group of apartheid nostalgalists managed to build a false narrative of a white genocide and in its typical magnanimous nature, the ANC tolerated this clearly treasonous conduct because acting against it would have been misconstrued as oppression or persecution of minorities.
Over the years the proponents of apartheid became more emboldened in their racism, particularly as the ANC became increasingly unpopular with its traditional voter base while no other black political party grew. With the help of a complicit media, Africans who appeared to succeed in accumulating some wealth were labeled corrupt while white domination of the economy was and continues to be entrenched. Accordingly, whites have benefited the most from the economy under the democratic government but that is clearly not enough seeing that they actually want a full return to apartheid hence huge investment in the white genocide propaganda which has caused all manner of problems for the country, most notably the breakdown in relations with the United States of America which unfortunately is led by an unrepentant racist.
As its usually said that lies have short legs, the mischievous propaganda of a white genocide has been exposed over and over again as nothing more than a dubious concoction that’s essentially a continuation of the No campaign of the 90s when the apartheid regime, on the back foot at the time, held a whites only referendum to decide whether the segregationist policy be continued or not. The current face of the nonsensical Afriforum Kallie Kriel led that campaign and clearly never stopped operating even after the collapse of apartheid.
Recently there’s been widespread reports of white South Africans returning home after failing to compete in the economies of Europe and the United States where many had migrated to. All of them have been allowed back into the country without exception despite clear proof that they are incorrigible racists.
What’s strange though is that white South Africans, Afrikaners in particular, have done little to nothing in order to call out the unrepentant racist and possibly criminal enterprise that is Afriforum. The leadership of Afriforum have amassed wealth at the back of white insecurities that they ( Afriforum) have in fact manufactured.
For some kind of normal situation to come out of this, the white population, in particular the Afrikaner, should do their part and denounce Afriforum and its treachery. There’s hardly any white South Africans who have admitted to preferring apartheid or having benefited from it and similarly, once Afriforum is defeated, believe us, it will be crushed at some stage, many will plead ignorance as if they did not bankroll its racist ways through monthly subscriptions and other general donations. The time is now for white South Africa to cleanse itself of the racism that has so far been synonymous with their existence lest its safely assumed that white people, not some but all of them are racist and can never coexist with Africans.
