Troubled rapper and Lekompo musician Shebeshxt could be in more legal trouble following the alleged confiscation of contraband in the cell he’s detained in at Polokwane Police Station.
Shebeshxt who’s real name Lehlogonolo ( Chauke ) has not had much luck with the law and the latest developments may see him in deeper trouble. The alleged contraband includes a cellphone, empty packs of what authorities believe to to be narcotics as well as a pipe suspected to be for the consumption of drugs.
He already faces multiple gun related charges including two counts of attempted murder.
Shebeshxt is currently behind bars after Polokwane High Court judge Natalie Burnet upheld Senior Magistrate Godfrey Netshiozwi’s decision to deny the musician bail on Wednesday, 17 December 2025 and is expected to appear again in court closing the door on the animated performer who mounted several bail bids hoping to be set free before the start of his trial.
Police have yet to release a detailed public statement outlining the circumstances surrounding the discovery nor have they given an indication of the kind of charges he may face.
He has had to cancel a month or so of back to back performances he was booked for over the festive season.
