MOUTSE/ROOSENEKAL – The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Limpopo led by Shadow Deputy Minister for Health, Lindy Wilson and Spokesperson on Health, Risham Maharaj on Wednesday, 6 April embarked on oversight inspections at the Philadelphia Hospital in Moutse and Roosenekal Clinic outside Groblersdal within Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality.
The DA said Philadelphia Hospital was one of the institutions with the highest amounts of medico legal cases in the province, with claims exceeding R650 million.
The party further said that there have also been numerous issues raised around conditions at the two facilities and that must be addressed.
It added that the oversight visit at the facilities sought assess the conditions of both, their preparedness to assist patients, the equipment and resources available at the facilities and to identify any challenges in that regard.
