Batladumisa FC were crowned champions of the Serafa Monthly Soccer Tournament after a dramatic final against Manyaka Movers, capping off an exciting Easter football weekend filled with thrilling local encounters.
The tournament, hosted at Serafa Sports Ground on the weekend of 5 and 6 April 2026, attracted strong community support as local teams battled for top honours under the #SerafaMonthly banner. Supporters came out in numbers, creating an electric atmosphere that highlighted passion for grassroots football.

In Batladumisa secured their place in the final after overcoming Ditlou in a highly contested semifinal played at 14:00 on 5 April. Meanwhile, Manyaka Movers booked their spot with an impressive 4-1 crashing of Al Saudi.
Stiga opened the scoring early in the match, setting the tone for the team. Maisela later extended the lead, ensuring Manyaka Movers maintained full control of the game. Their attacking strength and coordination proved too much for Al Saudi, earning them a deserved place in the final.
The much-anticipated final kicked off at 15:30 on Sunday 6 April, with Batladumisa facing Manyaka Movers in what turned out to be a tightly contested match. Both teams showed discipline and strong defensive organisation, resulting in a 0-0 scoreline at half-time.
Despite several attempts from both sides in the second half, neither team managed to find the back of the net, forcing the match into a penalty shootout. Tension was high as supporters watched the decisive moment unfold.
Batladumisa held their nerve, converting all five of their penalties while Manyaka Movers missed one crucial spot-kick going down 5-4 in the shootout.
The victory marked a remarkable achievement for Batladumisa, who also won another another during the same Easter period, the View Lifestyle tournament, making it two trophies in one weekend.
Head coach Tsitsi Moropa praised his team for their outstanding performance and unity throughout the competition.
“I am very proud of the boys. They showed discipline, unity and determination from the first game until the final. Winning two tournaments this Easter is a big achievement for us,” said Moropa.
He added that the team’s focus and commitment played a key role in their success, especially during the pressure of the penalty shootout.
The tournament once again showcased the strength of local football.Community members rallied behind their teams, reinforcing the importance of such events in developing young talent and promoting unity.
Although Manyaka Movers fell short in the final, their journey to that stage demonstrated their quality and resilience, particularly their standout performance against Al Saudi in the semi-finals.
