Known for his strong character as well as willingness to help and serve others, Logan stands out as a role model among his peers. From an early age, he demonstrated a deep sense of responsibility and care for those around him. Logan Kgawane Sekele is a young person whose dedication, compassion and leadership continue to make a meaningful impact in his community.
His upbringing in Schoonord’s Leokaneng section has taught him that “small actions create big change” as that reflects in the consistent efforts he puts into various community activities he is involved in. He says he fell in love with serving community because of the kind of love he received while growing up.
“I grew up in a family that believes in making a difference around people. I would describe my mom as a historian and my father a politician, and having absorbed from both of them resulted in the product that I am today. My parents would always buy extra food and clothes and give to the few families within the community who could not afford,” said Logan indicating that is how the Logan Sekele foundation was eventually established.
Logan actively participates in youth development programs and often volunteers his time to support educational as well as social initiatives.
“The Logan Sekele Foundation is a non-profit organisation rooted in the heart of Tshehlwaneng in Limpopo. It was founded in 2018 January on the 24 and it was my birthday. Our foundation, that currently has 9 active members is dedicated to uplifting and empowering communities through sports, arts, and culture while promoting and nurturing local talent. We work closely with community members to identify and support talented individuals by helping promote their abilities, connecting them with potential sponsors, and providing encouragement and opportunities that allow them to grow and succeed. Through our initiatives, we aim to create platforms where local talent can be seen, appreciated and supported,” he said.

He said beyond talent development, the foundation is committed to supporting vulnerable families within the communities. The entity provide assistance through donations, educational support, mental health programs, family outreach, and community-driven initiatives that address the real challenges faced by those in need.
The foundation’s mission, said Logan,is to restore hope, dignity, and opportunity within the communities and their motto being “Phela o Phediše,” meaning “ no man is an island ,” reflects the belief that when people are supported and given access to opportunities, they are empowered to transform their lives and in turn empower others.
Together with residents, volunteers, supporters, and potential sponsors, they believe they can build a brighter future—one where talents shine, families are supported, and lives are positively transformed.
“We would love to have support in any way possible from the community so that we are able to help even more families with clothes, food, sanitation etc,” said the 30 year old who advocates for youth engagement and his foundation has in the past affiliated with Miss Limpopo Schools Top 10 contestant Ayanda Moukangoe who served as it’s Marketing Manager.
“We do community development in terms of promoting business, brands, artists etc and we are working with Minki Thokoane and Manani Botes who both qualified for Mrs Supranational 2026 and we are looking forward to partnering with any company or organisation that is willing to help us fight hunger in our communities and also in-still the mindset that cleanliness is next to Godliness,” said Selepe.
Despite the good intentions of the foundation, it faces several challenges that limit the scale and consistency of the support it strives to provide.
“One of our greatest challenges is limited financial resources. Many talented individuals within our community lack access to opportunities due to financial hardship. As a foundation, we often encounter situations where young people need assistance with school fees, school uniforms, and other basic educational necessities
Unfortunately, due to funding constraints, we are not always able to support every individual in need.In addition, many families within our communities are living under difficult and sometimes shocking conditions, with some lacking proper shelter and safe living environments,” he said.
