The Association of Independent Publishers (AIP) is inviting proposals from experienced event management service providers to plan and deliver its Gala Event on 20 November 2026.
The event will bring together approximately 100 to 120 guests, including publishers, industry stakeholders, partners and supporters, to celebrate AIP’s achievements and the contribution of independent publishers to South Africa’s media landscape.
The appointed service provider will be responsible for the overall planning and coordination of the event, including venue sourcing, catering management, technical production, entertainment coordination and on-site event management. Responsibilities will include managing suppliers and service providers, overseeing event logistics and ensuring the successful delivery of the programme on the day.
Interested applicants should submit a company profile, examples of relevant experience, their proposed approach to delivering the event, an estimated budget including management fees and service costs, references from previous clients and contact details for the lead project manager.
Proposals will be evaluated based on relevant experience, understanding of the brief, quality of approach, value for money and client references.

AIP reserves the right not to appoint a service provider and may request additional information from shortlisted applicants.
