Pimville, Soweto – Tensions erupted in Pimville this week as residents joined forces with e-hailing drivers to protest against local taxi operators, accused of killing a 27-year-old man believed to be a Bolt driver.

The man was reportedly shot and his vehicle set alight outside Maponya Mall. Outraged community members blocked roads and forced the closure of the shopping centre, vowing it will remain shut until justice is served.
