Ditlou FC and Gosebo United played to a 1-1 draw in a Limpopo ABC Motsepe League – Stream B match at Mafori Stadium on 11 February 2026. The match was full of energy and determination from both sides, as each team fought hard to secure maximum points. However, the game ended with both teams sharing the spoils.
Gosebo started the match strongly and showed good attacking intent in the first half. Their efforts paid off when Elias Manyaka found the back of the net before halftime. Elias converted a well-taken goal that gave Gosebo the lead and boosted the confidence of the players. The visiting fans broke into song after the goal hopeful that their team would go on to collect all three points only for Ditlou to stop them at their tracks.
Ditlou FC did not give up. In the second half, they returned to the field with renewed determination. They pushed forward and created several chances as they searched for an equaliser. Their hard work was rewarded when Katlego Mampa scored late in the game to level the score. The home crowd erupted in celebration as Ditlou fought their way back into the match.
After the equalising goal, both teams continued to attack and defend with urgency. Both sides had opportunities to score the winning goal, but strong defending and missed chances meant the score remained unchanged until the final whistle.
At the time of the match, Gosebo United was sitting ninth on the Stream B log with eight points from seven matches. The team has recorded two wins, two draws, and three losses so far this season. While there have been positive moments, consistency has been a challenge.
Shortly after the match, Gosebo United announced that the club had parted ways with head coach Kgoloko Thobejane. The decision comes after a series of results that did not meet the club’s expectations. Thobejane was appointed in September 2025 with a mandate to help the team compete strongly and push for promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Assistant coach Clement Mogoba spoke about the decision and the way forward for the team. “We would like to thank Coach Thobejane for his hard work and commitment to the club. It was not an easy decision, but we believe change is necessary to improve our performance,” said Mogoba.
He also reflected on the match against Ditlou. “The game showed that we have quality in the squad. We started well and took the lead through Elias. Now we must work on our defence and use our chances better. The players are capable, and we believe we can improve,” he said.
The club is expected to announce a new head coach soon as they aim to strengthen their campaign. With many matches still to be played, Gosebo United will be hoping that the changes will bring stability and better results in the weeks ahead.
