Leeuwfontein Township’s own Temosho Nnawe (36) remains determined and committed to promoting music and poetry while contributing to the growth of arts and culture.
Nnawe continues to work hard to ensure his name is recognised in the local arts space as a singer and poet.
The singer and poet is currently a conversant face at gatherings, earning praise from audiences who often call for more after his performances.
He said he started actively pursuing his passion in 2021, performing Gospel and Tsamanyalo music while also showcasing his poetry at community events.
Temosho said his passion grew tougher as he got older. “I realised I needed to take it seriously and share it with others. Performing on public platforms helped me gain recognition in my community and pushed me to improve my skill,” Temosho said.
He shared that his love for music and poetry began during his early school years at Tisane Primary School.
Temosho thanked community members for their the ongoing support and encouragement, which continues to inspire him to perform at his best on stage.
“The support I receive means a lot. It inspires me to keep going and to give my best every time I perform,” he said.
Nnawe called on relevant authorities to support local artists to help unlock talent in rural communities.
He called on aspirant local artist to work hard to achieve their goals and develop their communities.
