DJ McDee who has had an illustrious career as a club jockey and entertainer

In this edition we bring you the inspiring life story of
Macdonald Tseke popularly known as DJ McDee who has had an illustrious career as a club jockey and entertainer.

Tseke was born and bred in the dusty village of Mohlaletse outside Jane Furse in Sekhukhune, Limpopo Province and it was there where his dream being a top Dj can be traced to.

However, Tseke’s break only came in the latest 1990s after he moved to Pretoria, Gauteng as a student.
While studying at the then Technikon Northern Gauteng and now Tshwane University of Technology ( Soshanguve campus), Tseke got hit by the music bug and never went back.

He went to the institution to study Analytical Chemistry but came out an entertainer than anything else.

He said it was in 1999 when his love of music took over seeing him starting to play live mixes on radio during the weekends as well as performing at gigs around the campus and elsewhere in Soshanguve, the vibrant multicultural township North of Pretoria. That’s when he realized that his was a “God given talent” and that he could make a living out of it.
His work as a Deep house Music dj is on demand as he played almost all over the country including neighbouring countries such as Lesotho, Botswana and Swaziland.Mcdee was featured on many top music shows across South African radio stations including but not limited to;
SK FM (Sekhukhune FM show; My house on train with Koos Dixlive Hlogi,
Metro FM “Urban Beat” with DJ Mlu,Christos and Vinny da Vinci,
SABC public broadcasting services Thobela FM as well as Munghana Lonene and english regional commercial Capricon FM.He also played at big events such as Spring Fiesta (2018) hosted by Soul Candi Records in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni Gauteng and at scores of top events in and around Sekhukhune.

He said he also plays at venues like : Capello Pretoria State theater, House22 Pretoria (Sunnyside), La YOUTHY SUNNYPARK (Pretoria), Mandis (Venda), Protea hotel Fire and Ice Menlyn which puts him on the list of the country’s most booked Djs.

Now a businessman, Mcdee believes he grew from strength to strength while playing vinyls alongside his friends like Corry da Groove, Tanny,Joy Morales (Mahenyahenya),Malankane, just to mention few and which gained him a major recognition and believes is what led to him sharing the stage with the like of Lars Behrenroth, Charles Webster, Robert Owens, 2deepsoul (UK),DJ Monde,Tokzen, Christos, Vinny da Vinci and many more of their stature.

Mcdee has now started his own company, Mc Dee Entertainment which hosts events,hires out music equipment and is also involved in marketing as well branding in the Entertainment industry.

He has already managed to host the crowd pulling Dj Christos, fellow Vinny da Vinci, 2deepsoul (UK) and more with his December events several times at Sethunya Sports Bar situated at his home village (Mohlaletse) and not forgetting Kali’s Pub (Ga Bizza) Ga Nkwana as well.
