The upcoming gospel music star from Ga-Masemola, Mmaripana Section, Kgothatso Namanyane, says he prays to God to elevate him to the levels of worshipers who are able to heal nations through their songs.
Namanyane ventured into the gospel music genre in 2020 and managed to release his debut album titled “Dikgona Ke Thapelo” in 2021.
The 28 year-old gospel music fanatic says he started singing during his Sunday school days. His passion for the music grew wildly and he never looked back, seeking to perfect his craft with every opportunity that presented itself.
He mentioned lack of support from families, communities and finances needed to record songs as well as marketing products a major challenge facing aspirant musicians in rural areas.
Despite the challenges, Namanyane succeeded in later unleashing two more products named “There is God” and “Rekgona Tsohle”.
“I thank God to have made me realize my passion for music at a tender age. That gave me enough time to explore the dynamics involved in music and with the experience I have gathered since I started, I could release the three albums,” said Namanyane.
He is currently hard at work to market his music and his goal is to see his songs played on television and radio gospel shows.
“I have a calling and need to work hard to be able to heal through my voice. I grew up loving music wholeheartedly and I am so glad that I never took that for granted and decided to honour it. With the help of God, I know I will make it very far and become one of the notable gospel stars,” Namanyane shared.
Namanyame encouraged other young people with aspirations to get into the music space to follow their dreams and let nothing stand in their way to succeed. He currently performs his music at various local events and can be booked on 072 932 06 46.
