Young talent set shine at upcoming contest

Young women are set to capture the moment with their exceptional modelling abilities during the much-anticipated pageant to be staged in Ga-Nkwana village.The Reporer caught up with one contestant, the highly decorated Ofentse Talane.

The young beauty who is known for her warm personality and striking presence said she is working hard to secure her place in a prestigious contest scheduled to take place on the 20th of December 2025 at Moses Mabotha Civic Hall, in Ga-Nkwana.

The 17 year old from Pelangwe under the Fetakgomo Tubatse local municipality in Sekhukhune said she began her modelling journey back in 2019 when her then teacher ( identified Mrs Phasha )encouraged her to do fashion parade at school and she never looked back.

Her journey has captured the attention of many ever since she won her 1stPrincess title in 2020 as Miss ANCYL Ward 35, Miss Madeny2nd Princess 2020 and Miss Ntshengwana Queen 2020.

What started as a passion for fashion and self-expression grew and she continued scooping more belts. In 2021 when she won The Face of R37 teen as a 1st Princess, Face of Atok 1st Princess 2021.

Despite Ofentse’s busy schedule, her mom Marcia Talane is her biggest cheerleader, who ensures that she prioritises her studies all the time “Even though she always had a tight schedule, especially this year as she was doing her final year of high school, I would ensure that she masters and strictly follow her study plan so she can balance her studies and with her pageants, she would schedule her social media posts so that even if she had to study, the posts would automatically be posted” said Marcia.

Her mom describes her as ambitious and hard working and says that she is very proud of her, even though sometimes it gets overwhelming to see her at a young age pursuing one of her desired goals. She further shared Ofentse’s message to young people who want to pursue beauty pageantry

“She motivates young fellow ones to be strong in the industry because one gets to meet different people with different aims. She advises them to chin up and fight every obstacles that comes their way, remember it’s not about winning, it’s about leaving a mark with value” Marcia shared. Ofentse wants to go to aviation school so she can be able to travel the world to make a lot of change in the world, she wishes to work with one of the biggest brands to help her make change. As she prepares for the final event, she remains grounded and focused. She is currently the Miss Sekhukhune 2025 finalist and she is more than ready to give her best performance.
